This workshop will attempt to engage the contemporary challenge of being spiritual and the struggle to be in relationship with organized religion.

The Shadow Sides of Spirituality

Just because something is named “spiritual” does not make it healthy. This workshop will deal with the shadow side of contemporary spiritual movements, which do not lead us to authentic spiritual transformation. This workshop will attempt to engage healthy and unhealthy forms of spiritual movements and look at spiritual materialism, narcissism, and the dangers of charlatans.

Kelsey explores the role of silence and meditation in order to connect with the Holy and to get in touch with the spiritual “elan” of the 21st century, offering us a down-to-earth manual to help us in our encounter with self, God and others.
